The sensational full upper right corner sheet marginal block of four (two pairs).
The whereabouts of this true philatelic treasure had, up to now, remained unanswered and one of the mysteries philately. We were recently offered the chance to purchase this block from a gentleman in the British Isles whom has had this in his collection for well over fifty years.
This piece is now well recognised to be the finest of the four pieces in the world (two blocks of four and two pairs) taken from the pane of twelve of Plate 3.
