David Brandon formed the company way back in 1961 from an office above his Father’s confectioners shop in Swinging London.  Mr. Brandon’s passion and eye for quality rare postage stamps ensured that the business grew rapidly and in 1975 this was transferred to a superb retail position in the Strand, London, which, in those days, was a ‘Mecca’ for philatelists. Mr. Brandon sold this Strand shop in 1987 and since then, the business has continued to grow and expand.

2023 was a hectic year with retail sales up on the previous year.  We are also pleased to report the Expertising service was up by 5% on the previous year. We purchased many collections and fine single items privately, many of which have been added to stock, some have now been sold intact to our clients, or we have kept for sale at a later date.

For over sixty years we have built philatelic investment portfolios for our private clients and this tradition continues with several new clients joining our service during the year. In addition, we have been building important collections from several countries and areas for an increasing number of clients.

In the past sixty years, we have not only built up many clients and friends around the World, but also, what we believe to be one of the most significant stock of rare investment quality stamps available for purchase in the World.
