1860 (6 February). Clean, neat cover from Chatham, via St. John, to Boston, bearing 1.- Dull mauve, bisected (paying 6d. cross-border rate). Tied by numeral "8" oval grid, 'St. John' transit on the front with red 'PAID/10" in circle (cross border marking), and backstamped 'CHATHAM/N.B./FE 6 1860'.
