1878 (FE 15). Cover to Wallingfold, Berkshire, England (Waldron correspondence), with superb full strike of 'FALKLAND ISLANDS PAID' circular 'RED FRANK' at upper right. Manuscript '6' rate mark in magenta ink alongside , and very fine strike of Type 1 despatch c.d.s. at lower left. Very fine arrival backstamp of 'WALLINGFOLD AP 2 78'.
(Carried by 'Sparrow Hawk' to Montevideo, and thence by RMSP 'Montego' to Southampton. Arrived in Southampton on 1st April 1878).
