1966 Christmas 3d. The full lower right corner sheet marginal block of six stamps MAJOR ERROR 'Gold Omitted' from stamp R2/2 and partially omitted and printed on the reverse (gummed side) of stamp R2/3. Due to the easy nature of the gold being removed from this issue SG do not list this error in principle, however the do acknowledge that the errors do genuinely exist due to a 'double paper-fold' prior to die-stamping. This block is just one of two known illustrating this fold-over variety. A most attractive and major piece. SG713var.
