1/2d Mauve. "postage" for "Postage". Plate 4, Positions 1-20.
Superb unused full lower sheet marginal block of twelve (4 x 3) including the variety "postage" for "Postage' (2nd stamp, position 10) and also position 13 showing "LL" at foot of frame and showing "LONG ISLAND" shifted to the left (position 17).
The block has a horizontal crease on the top row and a vertical crease on row two.
THIS IS THE LARGEST KNOWN MULTIPLE. ONLY 3 EXAMPLES OF SG9a EXIST. A STUNNING AND IMPORTANT MULTIPLE.
